Our Purpose:

To bring the Light, Love and Joy of Jesus Christ into the world by living the Written Word, sharing the Living Word, and Loving without exception.

St. Michael and All Angels Church is dedicated to preaching and teaching the light, love, and joy of Jesus Christ by seeking to live by the teachings and truths of God's Word (the Bible) in love. We want to bring those lost without Jesus to a relationship with Him. We believe that people cannot save themselves, but must trust in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ as sufficient for salvation. When we respond to Jesus our Savior, accept His free gift of salvation, confess and repent of our sins, our life is changed and the Spirit of God lives in us and aligns us with God's Will and God's Word. Consequently, we seek to share this living Word with others. We also believe we are called to love without exception. By this we mean that we seek to love people in spite of their sins, while upholding traditional biblical morality, ethics, and doctrine.

bulletOur worship style on Sunday morning is mostly traditional in nature. This allows us to find the awe, majesty, and mystery of God, experiencing a close intimate fellowship with Him.
bulletWe hold to the authority of the Bible in matters of faith. We do not require anyone to believe something as an article of faith which cannot be proved from the Scripture.
bulletWe believe in traditional, Biblical morality while seeking to avoid a legalism which would not allow for God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to be offered and received. (See a full statement go to the 2002 Vestry Resolution Affirming our Unity with the Worldwide Anglican Communion).
bulletWe encourage our members to think and ask questions. We welcome any questions pertaining to the Christian faith, Bible, the Church, or issues of personal morality and ethics.

St. Michael and All Angels church resulted from the merger of the churches of St. Clement’s and St. James’ on January 1, 1974. The newly combined congregation made the St. James facility, located at 81 Burke Drive (between Eggert and Huntley Roads off of Kensington Ave.) in Buffalo, its home. The church is located in the northeast part of Buffalo (near the borders of Cheektowaga, Amherst, Snyder, and Eggertsville, and near the University at Buffalo South Campus).
